Meet Dr. Esmaeil "Essie" Fallahi

Our esteemed instructor, Dr. Esmaeil "Essie" Fallahi, is the now retired Professor of Pomology and Research Leader of the Pomology Program at the University of Idaho's Department of Plant, Soil, and Entomological Sciences.

Dr. Fallahi pioneered the Pomology Program, garnering national and international recognition. With a research philosophy centered on understanding the challenges faced by fruit growers, Dr. Fallahi envisions solutions using both basic and applied scientific methods.
