Zamzows makes lawn care easy, with a 5-step lawn program designed specifically for the Treasure Valley area. By following this program, your lawn and soil will get the balanced diet they need to grow strong and healthy for years.

When the national fertilizer brands wouldn’t adapt their fertilizers to our hard-packed clay and alkaline soil type, Zamzows developed our own. Our approach to growing and maintaining a green lawn is completely different.

We don’t want to force-feed chemicals to give you an artificially green lawn. We want to properly feed it and fill the soil with natural biological activity. Our lawn care approach may not be the fastest, but it is the most effective in giving you a long-term, healthy lawn.

How Does It Work?

– You can sign up for your Zamzows Lawn Program at your nearest Zamzows location.
– You get 5 applications of our Zamzows Lawn Fertilizers, specifically designed for your Treasure Valley lawn.
– You can take your applications with you, or let us store them for you.
– We’ll text or email you when it’s time to apply the next step.

What Are the Steps?

Step 1

A double application of Zamzows Lawn Food in the Early spring has the correct amount of Nitrogen to kick-start your grass.

Lawns are heavy feeders and the early spring is when they eat the most. If not fed properly in the spring they will struggle to perform the rest of the year.

Apply on or around mid-March to mid-April.

Step 2

The second application in the Zamzows Lawn program is considered a “maintenance” application.

Getting your grass green is one thing, keeping it green all year is another. With most lawn fertilizers the green begins to fade over time. The second application of Zamzows Lawn Food maintains the green you have come to expect.

Apply on or around Memorial Day

The third step is the summer application that preserves water and maintains a deep green color during the summer heat.

During the summer months, a lot of the water we apply to our lawn is lost to evaporation. Applying Zamzows Huma Green helps your soil hold on to that moisture so your grass can use it. Because it is a natural mineral it is full of things like Iron which helps keep the lawn green without causing it to grow.

Apply on or around the 4th of July.

Step 4

Step four, like step two, is a maintenance application. Your lawn will be hungry after the hot summer months.

Feeding it here will help it recover from the stressful heat and begin to repair damage from potential bugs, fungus, and general wear and tear.

The fall feeding changes focus. Instead of growing up, we want to focus on root development and preparing for winter.

Zamzows Recharger is specifically designed to feed your lawn what it wants in the fall. By reducing the amount of Nitrogen we slow down the top growth and concentrate on feeding the roots with added Phosphorus and Potassium. So your lawn will be ready for the harsh winter and end up stronger next spring.
