The Zamzows Frisbee Fest is back for it’s 26th year!
Come see these High-Flying Canine Athletes compete for the honor of Top Dog, Saturday, September 15th starting at 11:00 am at Boise’s Ann Morrison Park, North West of the Fountain!
In case you’ve you didn’t know, Zamzows Frisbee Fest is a dog Frisbee-catching-contest where dogs compete for prizes in distance and style! In fact, in past years, dogs have chased and caught the Frisbee up to 210 feet, which is 70% the length of a football field!
This year we’re starting the event an hour later at 11:00 am…with registration starting at 10:00. We’ve also moved the field to a bigger area north-west of the fountain, and have added a beer garden from Powderhaus Brewing Company, who’ll be featuring their crowd-pleasing “haus” beer along with several others! Come taste them all and watch “the running of the dogs” in a beautiful setting by the Boise River at Ann Morrison Park. Volunteers from the Idaho Humane Society will be there staffing the event and serving up hot dogs & Pepsi for a donation!
To enter your dog, stop by any of our 12 Zamzows stores. Entry is $15 per dog and gets you a Frisbee Fest T-Shirt and an Official Frisbee disc which is required to compete in “distance”. Dogs competing in “style” only can use any disc! You can also enter the day of the event at the Park starting at 10 am.
Frisbee Fest partners include KNIN Fox 9 Television, The Idaho Humane Society, Powderhaus Brewing Company, Dr. Dianne Soule and Companions Animal Hospital of Boise, and the four EW Scripps Radio stations, 94.9 The River, 100.3 The X, 105.1 J-105, and 107.1 K-Hits.
The K-Hits morning team of Kevin Murphy and Melissa Dawn will be returning as our event announcers!
If you are coming in from out of town for the event you can contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org for registration and payment options. Remember the event is free for all spectators so bring the whole family down for an afternoon of “High-Flying-Action!” So don’t miss The 26th Annual Zamzows Frisbee Fest Saturday, September 15th at 11:00 am at Boise’s Ann Morrison Park!
